No. Waxing removes hair from the root, which does not increase thickness or pigment. Over time hair often appears finer and sparser because follicles weaken, especially with regular treatments and proper aftercare.
Aim for hair about ¼ inch long so the wax can grip properly. Avoid deodorant, heavy lotions, and recent sunburn. Gently exfoliate a day before and inform your technician about medications or skin sensitivities for tailored care.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on first treatment. Our technicians use pre-wax numbing sprays, proper technique, and soothing post-wax care to minimize pain. Breathing deeply and relaxing muscles also helps reduce sensitivity during removal.
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours before applying deodorant to avoid irritation. When resuming, choose an alcohol-free, gentle formula and apply sparingly. If you experience redness or sensitivity, delay use and consult your technician.
