Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Brow/Lip Waxing.
Appointments usually take 15–30 minutes depending on area and desired shaping. Your esthetician will consult about skin sensitivity and product use; please notify them if you use retinols, glycolic or salicylic acids, or Tretinoin to ensure safe care.
Most clients feel brief stinging during hair removal; discomfort is short-lived. We use expert technique, gentle wax, and soothing post-care to reduce irritation. Avoid exfoliating acids or strong treatments before your appointment and tell your esthetician about topical retinols or Tretinoin.
Frequency varies by hair growth, but most clients return every three to six weeks for brows and every three to five weeks for upper lip. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and improve hair texture; your esthetician will recommend the ideal interval.
No—avoid strong exfoliating acids before waxing when possible. Please notify your esthetician if you use retinols, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or Tretinoin. They may advise pausing these treatments several days beforehand or adjusting technique to prevent skin lifting and irritation.
For 24–48 hours avoid sun exposure, saunas, intense workouts, and exfoliation. Keep the area clean and apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or soothing gel. Avoid makeup on freshly waxed skin and consult your esthetician about returning to active topical acids.
Waxing can cause temporary redness, sensitivity, or rare allergic reactions. We use professional, hypoallergenic products and can perform a patch test if needed. Disclose any topical treatments like retinols or Tretinoin, as they raise risk of skin lifting and require modified care.
