Get answers to common questions about Lip Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for about three to six weeks, depending on hair growth, hormonal factors, and individual hair cycle. Regular appointments extend smoothness and can reduce regrowth thickness over time when scheduled consistently.
You may feel brief discomfort during Lip Waxing, but sessions are quick and professional techniques minimize pain. Topical soothing, proper pressure, and steady breathing reduce sensitivity; many clients report tolerable sensations and fast recovery.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and hair at least quarter-inch long for effective removal. Avoid plucking or bleaching beforehand. If you've had recent peels or aren’t sure about products, inform your Esthetician before the Lip Waxing.
Please notify your Esthetician if you are using any exfoliating acids before your facial waxing appointment. This includes products containing retinols, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or Tretinoin. Ask your Esthetician if you are unsure about any of these products.
Aftercare includes applying a gentle cleanser and calming lotion, avoiding sun, saunas, and heavy exercise for 24 to 48 hours. Do not exfoliate immediately; exfoliate gently after several days to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smooth results.
Certain conditions or medications increase sensitivity: isotretinoin use, recent chemical peels, active cold sores or skin infections, and some acne treatments. If you’re pregnant, on prescription exfoliants, or unsure, consult your Esthetician or physician before booking.
