Treatment sequence and timing
HydraFacial Platinum begins with a detoxifying lymphatic drainage to prepare the skin, followed by the Signature HydraFacial that cleanses, exfoliates, extracts, and hydrates. You’ll choose a targeted Booster such as Growth Factor or Omorovicza, then finish with LED Light Therapy and either a mask or a facial massage. The HydraFacial treatment itself is approximately 75 MINUTES.
We reserve a 90-minute appointment slot to allow time for consultation, skin analysis, preparation, and checkout; clients should expect approximately 60 minutes of hands-on treatment time. The longer reservation gives your clinician space to tailor each step to your skin and to discuss booster selection and immediate aftercare before you leave.
How the technology works
The Signature HydraFacial uses a multi-step, vortex-like delivery and suction method to remove impurities while simultaneously delivering hydrating serums. Extraction and exfoliation are performed with controlled suction rather than manual squeezing, and serums chosen for your Booster carry actives targeted to your concern. LED Light Therapy is added at the end to further reduce the visible signs of aging.
Choice of Booster — for example Growth Factor or Omorovicza — lets your clinician focus the hydration step on a particular concern like loss of elasticity or hydration balance. Clinicians decide which combination of actions and serums to use based on your skin analysis, so results depend on both the procedure and the products selected.
Aftercare and local considerations
Immediate downtime is minimal for most clients: you may experience temporary redness or a glowing appearance, and normal activities are usually resumed the same day. Because Cambridge experiences four distinct seasons, your clinician will recommend adjustments — for example richer hydration in cold, dry months or lighter maintenance in humid summer — to match local climate effects on skin.
Plan to arrive on time for your reserved 90-minute appointment to complete consultation and analysis; the hands-on portion will be shorter. Our Harvard Square–area location is convenient for clients combining appointments with commuting, classes, or errands, so allow a few extra minutes for transit or parking when booking.
